Designated Brokerage Services (DBS) provides brokerage solutions for corporate clients who monitor their employees' securities trading activity. DBS offers an employee trade monitoring solution via the trade-rules technology for financial service firms who choose to allow their employees to maintain brokerage accounts outside of their own firm. Firms can supervise employee trading subject to FINRA Rule 3210, Investment Advisors Act of 1940 Rules 17j-1 and 204A-1. In addition, DBS provides status information to corporate clients and internal Schwab departments as well as respond to corporate client inquiries.

The Client Plan Administration Specialist is responsible for processing client initiated service requests that are received via email, phone calls and other internal applications within Schwab. These requests are primarily requests to link and/or delink specific employee Schwab accounts that are associated with the firm's Master Account(s). In addition, the Client Plan Administration Specialist will be required to handle the team's incoming client phone queue, researching transaction or holding inquiries, general DBS product information and data feeds, assist with the set-up of new clients through the onboarding of New Deals/Corporate Relationships and other duties, as assigned

What you are good at
  • Fulfilling account linking/delinking requests via various systems; particularly ADDLink and Client Central, including large list items and BOSWeb
  • Assist team members on daily MyDB, MyQ, EWA and Kana queues - as needed to meet corporate Service Level Agreements
  • Working with internal or external clients to provide an exceptional client experience including Welcome Calls to train new Authorized Agents and firms new to the DBS platform options.
  • Identify inefficiency in workflow and provide solutions to address and effectively promote at meetings through Subject Matter Expert roles and various report or project support
  • Establishing clear points of contact for one-stop resolution and for ongoing support and escalations
  • Promote a positive team environment and can be relied upon in uncertain times
  • Other responsibilities as determined by and agreed with leadership
What you have
  • Financial services experience is required
  • Ability to explain complex subjects via phone to internal and external clients
  • Solid analytical skills and ability to multi-task to perform multiple complex tasks with a superior level of attention to detail
  • Advanced technical skills with the ability to utilize at several applications at any one time, including Windows, database systems, and email
  • Manage multiple tasks effectively by balancing high productivity with excellent service quality
  • Demonstrated experience in working a Business to Business model.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and work collaboratively with other team members to deliver high quality service and meet client expectations
